MEMBER EXCLUSIVE – Summer Survey Field Report
The fall equinox is approaching, and our Science Team is wrapping up another colorful season of long-term habitat monitoring, gathering new data on fish, small mammals, vegetation, and more. We’re excited to share some of what we’ve learned and explore why long-term monitoring is so important to preserving vital habitat for Sandhill Cranes, Whooping Cranes, and other wildlife.
Join us live for the Members’ Exclusive Virtual Program at 7:00 p.m. CDT on Thursday, September 24.
Crane Trust Members can join our 2026 Fellows, William Hamson and Clara Freese, alongside Dr. Abraham Kanz, Director of Conservation Research, for a deeper look at this year’s field season.
This program will run proximately 60 minutes. You’ll hear about our ongoing research, enjoy photos and video from the field, and get a special look at some of the wildlife and other highlights our team encountered this summer. We will also take some time to discuss what this year’s work means for our long-term monitoring.
