March 8 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

Science Snippet: Crane Counting with Bethany Ostrom, Lead Biologist at Crane Trust

March 8th at 10 a.m. – Free and open to the public!

Each week during the migration season, the Crane Trust publishes a “crane count” documenting the number of cranes roosting on the Platte River. Have you ever wondered how we count over 700,000 cranes? Here is your chance to find out! Bethany Ostrom, lead biologist at the Crane Trust, will share insight into what it takes to count cranes, how we (and others) use that data, and why it matters.
