March Speaker Series: Art and Conservation

March 18 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

March Speaker Series: Art and Conservation with Linda Syverson Guild

March 18th at 2 p.m. – Free and open to the public!

Join architect and fiber artist Linda Syverson Guild in exploring the intersection of conservation and art. Guild grew up in Grand Island, Nebraska and holds degrees in Architecture from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Her early memories and influences include family drives through the country on Sunday, fishing on the Platte River and exploring the notable architecture of Grand Island. These experiences heightened her awareness of aligning with a place, its people and history. Linda grew up with the conviction that a person needs to know where they have been to understand where they are going. This attitude has become a thread that weaves itself through her fiber art.
